Friday Night Waltz has mostly waltzes in the dances and classes, along with polka, tango, swing, and salsa. People come from all over the Bay Area.         Come dance in a tropical paradise for a night!

Richard Powers teaches the classes, partnered by Tracey.

7:15 - We'll warm up with two line dances that will be done at the party. The Midnight Waltz line dance is based on cross-step waltz, and is a standard at FNW, with some people even doing it in the center of the hall, surrounded by cross-step waltzers. Then a new version of the French Madison that Richard learned in Paris this summer.

7:45 - The main dance is informal party samba, the perfect dance for Tiki night, which Richard has never taught at FNW. Samba is based on polka, but is much more relaxed and easygoing, and is danced mostly in place, not traveling around the room. Some people prefer dance sequences, so that they know what is happening when, and some prefer improvised freestyle. We'll do both!

These are ALL-LEVELS CLASSES, no dance experience required, just a fun-loving attitude and lots of enthusiasm.
